Northumberland and the surrounding area has so much to do and see you will never be short of ideas.

For instance, why not have a family fun day at Whitehouse Farm 
or Pot a Doodle Doo even spend a wet afternoon shopping at the countries renowned Metro Centre, Newcastle. For the more adventurous you could try action packed water sports such as kite surfing, kayaking or windsurfing on the well known beaches such as Beadnell Bay. The local area has been described as a "birdwatchers paradise" with the nearby Farne Islands, Coquet Island and Budle Bay being overcome with visitors each year flocking to see the ever changing range of birds throughout the months. Tides prevaying you could make the trip to the histric holy Island of Lindisfarne and explore the fortress of Lindisfarne castle, stroll along the beach to the working harbour and then onto the islands priory. For afters you could end your day at one of the local tradition watering holes such as The Ship Inn.
