Boat Trips “Farne Islands”
The Northumberland coastline offers you many chances to explore some of the best kept nature reserves in the country. From the village of Seahouses regular trip can be made to the famous Farne Islands lying two to three miles off the Northumberland coast midway between the fishing village of Seahouses and the magnificent Castle of Bamburgh. As well as being the most famous Sea Bird Sanctuary in the British Isles they also have a large colony of Atlantic or Grey Seals. This is known to one of the most breathtaking experiences, which allows you to get up close and personal with some of the most protected forms of wildlife.
Trips run all year-round to this most wondrous of British archipelagos.
Fishing
Fishing in the area is very well catered for, Sea Angling is very popular with rock fishing available from, Embleton, Beadnell, and Hauxley. Beach Casters can try the sandy stretches along the coast line of Amble and Alnmouth. Anglers don’t have to feel left out, this can be done from the harbour walls of Craster and Amble.
The river Coquet is one of the most respected Salmon and sea trout rivers. Fishing is available to fishers on either a daily or weekly ticket.
As well as the boat trips to the Farne islands, fishing boats also, leave from the harbour, taking groups on daily fishing trips along the Northumberland coast. Not only a good chance to catch your tea, but a great way to explore and discover unseen areas of the coastline.
